U.S. Coastlines Are Suffering
Decades of corporate polluting and unhindered development have left coastal habitats in tatters. Many waterways, once teaming with life, are now choked with toxins and no longer support the flora and fauna that used to thrive there.
But what if one small species could help clean entire coastlines—every single day. Oysters do exactly that. Each one can filter up to 50 gallons of water daily, removing excess nutrients, improving water clarity, and supporting the growth of seagrasses and other marine life. Together, oyster reefs act as living filtration systems, helping keep coastal ecosystems healthy and balanced.
