Sunflower:

The subject of lore and paintings, it's an important agricultural crop today. Our mini-sunflower is a French dwarf variety that is easy to grow indoors on any sunny windowsill.

Catnip:

A member of the mint family, catnip attracts cats domestic and wild. If fresh, the leaves and stems need bruising to release their oils or you can dry and crush them as a special treat and help relieve boredom.

Snapdragon:

Rose-pink clusters of flowers on sturdy stem named for the flower head which, when laterally squeezed, is reminiscent of the head of a dragon opening its mouth. To encourage more blossoms, pinch off old blooms.

Basil:

King of the herbs, basil is a favorite among many cooks for its incredible flavor, which is at its peak when used fresh from the plant. The sweet-tasting miniature leaves are ready for use straight off the plant.

Alpine Strawberry:

These decorative little plants produce delicious aromatic red strawberries, about twice the size of wild berries. Alpine strawberry plants stay compact and produce few runners, so they make great houseplants when they aren't producing fruit.

Lavender:

The leaves are intensely aromatic right from the start and are said to have a relaxing effect. The flowers are edible and can be used raw in salads, added to stews, used to season cookies, ice cream, candied, or even brewed in tea.

Love:

Thank someone with this sentimental flower of sky-blue color with tiny yellow centers. It forms a mound of fuzzy foliage that grows to 6" in height. When in bloom, it bears clusters of flowers that uncurl as the flower buds open.

Happy Birthday:

Bring thoughtful birthday wishes in the language of flowers. They are hearty plants and easy to grow. Their blooms are edible and can add color to a salad or rice dish.

Thank You:

Zinnias are easy-to-grow beautiful plants with multi-petaled flowers that bloom in a variety of bold colors. A growing expression of thank you that will remind the recipient of your gratitude.

Thinking of You:

The name Pansy comes from the French word Pensée which means thought. A reminder in bloom that someone is thinking of you. Pansies are hearty plants and easy to grow. The large blooms will brighten any windowsill.

Mint:

A perennial herb bursting with fragrance and flavor enlivening endless dishes and drinks. To encourage low bushy growth, harvest leaves frequently and pinch off tops. Growing mint in a container is a perfect way to enjoy the freshly harvested herb and control its tendency to spread in the garden.

Snapdragons

I bought this for a friend and was going to help her set it up. I pulled out the package of potting soil and it had a hole in the bottom of the package. We did not finish setting it up. Also lost some of the soil when I took the package out. So I guess we will have to transfer the soil into another baggy. I am sure they will be lovely. On another note, she was also having a plumbing issue in her house, so I was more focused on that issue. And all of that happened on Mother’s Day!
