Cheeks Ahoy
Cheeks Ahoy was born from one new mom’s desire to make cloth diapering even more eco-friendly. After realizing that disposable baby wipes were still creating unnecessary waste—and often came packaged in plastic and made with long lists of ingredients—founder Leah Black decided to make her own reusable alternative.
Using old flannel bed sheets, Leah sewed her first reusable cloth wipes and paired them with a gentle, simple wipe solution made from three natural ingredients. What started as a solution for her own family quickly caught on among friends and eventually grew into Cheeks Ahoy.
Today, Cheeks Ahoy creates reusable cloth wipes designed as a clean, non-toxic alternative to disposable wipes. Made from 100% cotton flannel, the wipes are soft, absorbent, and intended for sensitive skin. Free of topical treatments and chemical finishes such as formaldehyde and PFAS, helps keep the materials simple and close to their natural form.
Sustainability is at the heart of Cheeks Ahoy’s mission. The company believes in supporting local communities, paying fair wages, giving back, and making zero-waste living more approachable and accessible. Through its partnership with TheGoodAPI, Cheeks Ahoy also supports reforestation efforts to help combat climate change, with more than 3,278 trees planted to date.
By turning an everyday disposable into something reusable, Cheeks Ahoy is showing that small changes in our daily routines can add up to a meaningful reduction in waste.
