This is our third try with dishwashing soaps, i.e., soaps for handwashing dishes. The Vegan Dishwashing Block is the best of the three, by far. It does not leave the spots that the others did. It gets dishes, cookware, and silverware clean. We'll be repeat buyers!
This is what I use to wash my dishes, and it works just fine. One bar lasts forever! The only thing I could add to that is that you do need to rinse well.
Always a great product to use! I try not to run out. I love its very subtle and clean scent and how well it cleans my dishes!
Henceforward, I'll always have a soap block on my counter, sitting in a small soap dish. It looks a little more awkward than a sleek plastic bottle, but who cares? Not I. Anyone who doesn't like the look is free to go. (HAH!)
Seriously, the bar does a REALLY GOOD job. It lathers up rather well with a wee brush, and does a good working job on most dishes, utensils, mugs, glasses, non-terribly-gooey cookpots, etc.. The only place that it falls down at all is on REALLY greasy or oily things. I fear I'll have to stick with liquid there, but this great bar will cut that consumption by probably 90%. I'm a happy camper!
But - I gotta say - I'm confused by reviews that say the block, or broken bits of it, have to be "chased around the countertop," "leaving soapy residue." Put it in a soap dish, for heaven's sake! Problem solved.
No more plastic bottle of dish soap on my window sill.
