These socks are indeed charming in design, but while the size called M/L purports to fit feet up to shoe size 14, the pairs I received (which were only labeled as “Medium”!) are too small for me at the upper leg cuffs, even though they fit my size 12 feet. However, I’m far from heavy (weigh 125 lb. and normal height) so there’s no reason they should be too tight around my legs even to wear them! Lots of women with shoe sizes in the range these are said to fit have wider calves than mine, I’m sure. What are we all supposed to do?
I had to give the socks away as I had trustingly already removed the paper labels from them.
I also wonder why FTO calls them M/L when the maker of the socks only calls them Medium? The maker’s designation leads me to assume a larger size (that might fit me) exists but isn’t offered by FTO? If so, why not?
FTO should certainly make the actual size limits clear. By saying the socks fit up to size 14, FTO is misleading buyers about what to expect. I certainly wouldn’t have bought them if the true size had been accurately explained. Indeed, if the listing had even described them as size Medium (as the manufacturer does!), I wouldn’t have chanced it.
A little more honesty here would have been appreciated!
